I am an experienced Software Engineer skilled in Database Administration, Data Archiving, Data Processing and Systems Engineering for Spacecraft and Science Research. I double majored in Astrophysics and Applied Math at the University of California at Berkeley and graduated with a BA. In addition to my current job functions, I was recognized by the Gravity Probe B mission for my logical proof of data integrity for the decommutation, unpacking, accessibility and archiving of the mission data. I love being a part of NASA, where we strive to increase the scope of human knowledge. When I’m not keeping busy storing bits and bytes, you can usually find me on the road. So far I’ve visited seven continents and 57 countries.
Jennifer Spencer started her blog while on a trip around the world in the summer of 2010. At the risk of implied arrogance in speaking in the third person, she will tell you that she is a semi-professional photographer and travel enthusiast. Usually she is in the data warehousing trade for NASA missions, but she was between spacecraft for a time. The trip lasted three months and took her to four continents outside of North America.
